A Development Agent is an independent contractor who
sees the “big picture” and has the inner drive to succeed. After headquarter’s
approval, the DA will have the opportunity to develop a territory and help
franchisees own and operate SUBWAY® restaurants in that territory. We do not
sell these territories. They are awarded at no cost to qualified candidates who
are highly motivated and energetic.
The DA’s duties include:

Recruiting new franchise owners

Assisting the franchise owners in finding locations

Negotiating leases for the locations

Assisting the franchise owners with construction and
opening of the restaurant

Providing franchise owners with ongoing operational
and marketing support
As the DA builds the business in the territory,
he/she will receive a portion of all franchise fees and up to 1/3 of the
royalties collected from the restaurants in the area. It’s a terrific
