Jackie decided that after a lifetime of being overweight
that she still needed a powerful inspiration to help her reach her weight-loss
goal--and Jared’s weight-loss story certainly helped her to keep going. Since
losing 95 pounds, Jackie, a former junk food junkie, is more self-confident and
has the energy to be more physically active. She now enjoys bicycling,
rollerblading, aerobics, yoga, martial arts and golf, as well as speedwalking
four days a week. Jackie’s day typically starts with a breakfast bar or fruit,
then a 6-inch sub from Subway’s "7 under 6" menu for lunch. She would alternate
between turkey, the Subway club or her favorite sandwich, roasted chicken
breast on wheat with lettuce, tomato, onion, green peppers, usually without
cheese and topping it off with either mustard or Subway’s fat-free honey
mustard sauce. When not eating at Subway six or seven times a week, Jackie
would often prepare a low-fat microwaveable entrée or have a grilled chicken
breast with rice. Snacks include low-fat microwave popcorn, pretzels, fruits
and fresh veggies with an occasional low fat cookie or bag of baked chips as a
treat. Jackie’s advice to those following in her footsteps would be to make
gradual changes and stay positive. She urges future dieters to make sure to get
enough vitamins, drink plenty of water or a diet beverage and exercise and
says, "You didn’t gain all the weight overnight, and you won’t lose it
overnight either."

fat), Roasted Chicken Breast (6.0g), Ham (4.5g), Veggie Delite (2.5g), Turkey
Breast & Ham (4.5g), and Turkey Breast (3.5g), prepared according to
standard recipes with Italian or wheat bread, meat, onions, lettuce, tomatoes,
pickles, green peppers, and olives, and without cheese or condiments (e.g.
mayonnaise). Customer requests to modify standard sandwich recipes or add
