Jason
Cromley
(90 pounds)
Jason, a sales rep for a pharmaceutical company, wanted
to lose weight to improve his health and appearance. He has been eating lunch
daily at Subway as part of his weight-loss process for three years. Now for the
first time in his life, he says that he feels athletic, energetic and
attractive. Weight loss has boosted his confidence and self-esteem and
according to Jason, "I’m no longer afraid to take my shirt off in public.
Losing weight has given me freedom in many, many ways." Being very active at
work and socially, never having time to cook, fast-food burgers and fries were
a staple in his pre-weight-loss diet. "Realizing that I could eat a healthy
meal at Subway, my life began to change," says Jason. A fan of the roasted
chicken breast sub on country wheat with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, green
peppers, vinegar, oregano and salt and pepper, he would gladly leave off the
mayo, oil and cheese. Jason also added a bag of baked chips and a diet soda as
part of a combo meal. Since losing 90 pounds, he now participates in several
sports including running, volleyball, swimming, golf and rollerblading. He
considers losing weight and getting in shape to be the biggest goal he’s ever
accomplished. "I felt like I was fighting an addiction. You need to believe in
yourself, enjoy the process and educate yourself with the tools needed to win
the battle," says Jason.
