"Jared Inspired Me"

Kenneth says that losing the weight has had a positive
impact on his body, mind and spirit, citing increased energy levels, improved
mental agility and giving him a new outlook on life. He was tired of being
overweight and was concerned about several health issues. "I have a beautiful
family and want to be around for many, many years to enjoy them," says Kenneth.
Admitting that his downfall was a fondness for sweets, Kenneth says that he
started a new diet everyday until he discovered Subway’s Veggie Delight, a
sandwich that curbed his ravenous appetite. He enjoyed one for lunch every day
of the week. By leaving off the olives and adding banana peppers and vinegar to
the sandwich, Kenneth kept calories to a minimum. Although, Ken is at his
goal weight, he still eats Subway every day. Kenneth, represents General
Electric in their Long Term Care Division, and will have the opportunity to eat
at Subway whenever he wants once his brand new Subway® Restaurant is built. Ken
is now an official Subway Franchisee! According to Kenneth, when he first saw a
poster of Jared, he thought, "If he can do it, I can," and happily remarks that
at age 59, he is the senior-most member of an adult baseball league for which
he plays first base. Kenneth’s weight-loss advice is to not get discouraged, be
motivated and to combine exercise with eating smart. A member of his local "Y,"
Kenneth enjoys a two-hour workout four days a week, which includes aerobic
exercises and weightlifting. "If you think about it, it will happen," says
Kenneth of his weight-loss philosophy.
